I remember the immense jump in quality the Favorit represented after the rear-engined 120. After Skoda was acquired by VW, they developed the Favorit into the Felicia, which was the first step on the road of becoming the brand as we know it today.

Actually saw one of these one and a half weeks ago. Always thought it looked like a worse alternative to the Lada Samara, though that might not be the case.

They were quite common here in rural Norway 15 years ago. Now not so much, though there are still some out there.

I think that in certain trims (either bone stock and pre-1989 or after the last facelift) they look much better.
Also from a quality standpoint they’re a much better bet than the Samara

They were sold in Canada briefly at one point, as were Rivas and Nivas and older 2106s and their ilk....wouldn’t mind one myself if I had a giant garage to collect old Soviet/Eastern Bloc and Italian metal! :P
